Dream Funk 02:10
Something is happening here I've seen it with my own two eyes Translucent fortune teller Watching me dream inside my naked head

Wes Suite 04:40
Say that I was low In my own On the way to Oh, Basil! We laid in a field of dandelion and after, We listened Missed my bus back from Boston Made it to Connecticut before the sun went down below Thomas danced in the crescent drunken beside the whisper wall And then they sung us...

Left my home to grow into something greater than my own reasons Seeds, like grown up cabins, forgot the rooms they hadn't built yet Salamander room bloomed California weaved her suede again Seeing rooms empty, just passed through While clear waves spun past silhouette and tile And I wonder who will live here when we sail away I met a girl in Santa Cruz who told me that I had a striking name But the coast told us that it was time to go Then to ramble on and reprise our theme Chirping pinewoods living back to us Yellow peaches stoned and pivoting

We made it home with stars in our shoes Parked our diastole round quarter past two... And the fish that came and saw us Said that it was about time And I can see my own face Everything is bigger than us!

I'm never gonna wander away So you get mine But it's hard to forget you from my mind Why can't you stay? Three times and taking it back Steadily beside purple static noise Soon to be lost in a tide Called it Dream Funk So instead they stayed

about

Every combination of sound and silence has a rhythm. The world all around us is full of infinite rhythms - limitless combinations of sound (and lack thereof) within the sonic sphere. Additionally, actions and visuals are rhythmic too; one must simply broaden the definition to be concerned with more than just aural qualities. Thus, any juxtaposition of alternating empty and full spaces births a rhythm.

And perhaps art—both visual and aural (music)—could be defined as the creation of a polyrhythm by combining different individual patterns and rhythms of empty and full spaces. Through this creation of polyrhythm that is art, we give some sort of order to the chaos of the infinite number of rhythms occurring in the natural and human-formed worlds, and by doing so, based on what we pick out and choose to combine and the way we do it, we express our cumulative histories and resultant creativity—our spirit.

Dream Funk was recorded in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
